On Sunday, July 27, 2014, Prissy Sweet Cake Treats invaded Atlanta, Georgia for the Ladies Who Brunch Atlanta event…a women’s empowerment series that gathers women from all walks of life and business to discuss their methods for achieving success, networking, shopping, and mingling. This was the second annual Ladies Who Brunch Atlanta and the theme was a Royal Tea. Thanks to the lovely and hardworking Dayira “Daybella” Jones and Bianca “Sassy Mitchell Hair” Rush, Prissy Sweet Cake Treats was commissioned to put together a beautiful Pink & Gold Royal Tea Party themed Dessert Spread!!! Needless to say I was thrilled when I received the request. My excitement grew even more when the names of the panelists for the event were released; Kandi Burruss (grammy award winning singer, songwriter, producer, entrepreneur, Real Housewife of Atlanta), Cynthia Bailey (Supermodel, Real Housewife of Atlanta, and founder of the Bailey Agency), Emily B (Celebrity Stylist, Reality TV Personality, Shoe Designer), Necole Bitchie (World Renowned Blogger), Latasha Wright (Celebrity Makeup Artist).
WHAAAAAAAATTTTTTT?!?!?!?!?!!? LOL, that was my response!!! This was going to be BIG for Prissy Sweet Cake Treats and this would be my biggest stage yet and biggest request yet as I had never prepared treats for over 150 people. The Ladies Who Brunch required varied desserts (chocolate covered strawberries, cupcakes, cake pops, marshmallows, candy) for over 250 women!! It was a tall order for lonesome me but I was up for the feat and I think I succeeded as the compliments about the desserts and table styling poured in from attendees for days to come! Notice the pic of Kandi Burruss admiring the custom photo cupcakes made to represent each of the panelists. She had to get a pic herself!
Needless to say the day was amazing!! The event was the vision of Daybella and Bianca, but the event, held in the Georgian Ballroom at Biltmore Ballrooms Atlanta was put together by The SOA Brand…a local Atlanta Event Planning firm. The catering was done by Pretti Plates. The PR that drove tons of media to the place to be July 27th was the job of The Garner Circle…all women headed companies! I LOVED IT!!
There was plenty of valuable information to be had by all the panelists. For instance, Kandi spoke about having multiple streams of income and making sure you know the areas you’re interested in conducting business and if you don’t, work with someone who does. Kandi also spoke about making whatever it is that you offer (product, services, etc) irreplaceable thereby making you irreplaceable and securing your spot in the marketplace. Emily B spoke about the importance of positivity and a positive image and how she balances motherhood and business together. Necole Bitchie talked about her road to internationally known celebrity blogger and how she created her opportunity after a series of NOs and shut doors. The ladies kept it really real and open with everyone in attendance. Like I said, great event and great panelists and I must say great desserts LOL!!
I shall be in attendance next year!! Checkout the gallery for pics from the Ladies Who Brunch Atlanat event!
